Israeli Settlers Attack, Injure Several People Across the West Bank

Illegal Israeli settlers attacked, on Friday, Palestinians and their property across the occupied West Bank, the Palestinian News & Information Agency (WAFA) reported.

In the northern West Bank, southwest of Nablus, Israeli colonists attacked volunteers at a tree-planting event in Burin village, injuring eight people, setting fire to one vehicle and smashing the windshield of another.

A local official who monitors Israeli colonial schemes in the northern West Bank, Ghassan Daghlas, stated that several masked settlers from a nearby Givat Ronen outpost, invaded the olive grove and attacked volunteers from the Rabbis for Human Rights (RHR) with rocks and batons, injuring eight.

The settlers can be seen pouring a flammable liquid on the vehicle of one of the volunteers and setting it ablaze.

Illegal colonists cut down hundreds of olive saplings, on Friday, in Deir Sharaf village, west of Nablus in the northern occupied West Bank, according to a local official.

Ghassan Daghlas, monitoring Israeli settlement activities, stated that colonial settlers stormed Palestinian-owned land in Deir Sharaf village and chopped down 300 olive saplings belonging to local villagers Abdul-Rahim, Abdul-Hamid and Ghazi Antari.

In the northern West Bank, northeast of Salfit, settlers chopped 90 more olive trees belonging to two Palestinian farmers in Yasuf village, according to a local resident.

One of the farmers, identified as Jamal Salama told WAFA that Israeli settlers invaded his farm and chopped 70 olive trees.

Another Palestinian farmer in the same area told WAFA that settlers chopped 20 of his olive trees after they stormed his land.

In Deir Istiya town, north of Salfit, another group of settlers assaulted a Palestinian man and attempted to torch his vehicle, according to the mayor of the village.

The mayor, Moath Salman, told WAFA that settlers poured a flammable liquid on a vehicle belonging to Hamed Musa Awad, and assaulted him.
