Occupation Forces Detain Several Palestinians from the West Bank

Amjad Abu Asab, the head of the Jerusalemite Prisoners’ Families Committee, said in a press statement that Israeli occupation police detained 14 Palestinian young men from the Al-Tur neighborhood in occupied east Jerusalem.

Abu Asab added that many of the detainees, most of whom were former prisoners, were transferred to interrogation facilities, after police took them into custody for allegedly throwing stones at police cars.

Soldiers attacked civilians at the Damascus Gate (Bab Al-Amoud), one of the main gates leading to the Old City of Jerusalem, Wednesday night, firing concussion grenades and rubber-coated steel rounds at visitors while they were enjoying the rare snowfall in Palestine.

The Wadi Hilweh Information Center (Silwanic) reported three young men were detained at the Damascus Gate, but no injuries were reported.

WAFA correspondent stated that occupation police detained Muhannad Abu Asab, after shooting him with a rubber-coated steel round at the entrance of Al-‘Isawiya neighborhood in occupied East Jerusalem.

On Thursday morning, Israeli forces detained Salah Osama from the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound.
