Israeli Settlers Assault an Elderly Palestinian Man near Tulkarem

Illegal Israeli colonial settlers assaulted, on Saturday, an elderly Palestinian man as he was grazing his sheep in al-Hafasi village, east of Tulkarem in the north-western occupied West Bank, according to an eyewitness.

Local citizen, Saeb Jabaiti, told Palestinian News & Information Agency (WAFA) correspondent that the elderly man, identified as; Mahmoud Hussein Muhammad Faqha, 80, from Kafr al-Labad, was grazing his sheep on his privately-owned land in al-Hafasi village, when a number of armed illegal settlers assaulted him causing him severe injuries to his face.

The victim was transferred to Thabet Thabet Governmental Hospital in Tulkarem before being taken to Rafidia hospital in Nablus city in the northern West Bank for further treatment.

Jabaiti added that settlers have assaulted Faqha prior to this incident, in an attempt to force him off of his land for the benefit of the nearby illegal colony, built on expropriated Palestinian lands.

In related news, illegal Israeli colonists attacked, on Saturday, a Palestinian family from Kafr ad-Dik town, located west of Salfit in the northern occupied West Bank, local sources reported.

Sources stated that a group of colonists hurled rocks at a Palestinian farmer, Najeh Harb, and his family while they were in their farming structure on their land.

No injuries were reported.

On Friday at night, settlers threw rocks at Palestinian vehicles west of Hebron in the southern West Bank, damaging a number of vehicles, security sources reported.
