Israeli forces injured, on Friday, several Palestinian civilians during many non-violent protests across the occupied West Bank, according to local sources.
In the northern West Bank village of Kufur Qaddoum, east of Qalqilia city, soldiers shot three Palestinians with rubber-coated steel rounds and caused dozens more to suffer the toxic effects of tear gas inhalation. All injuries were treated at the scene by local medics.
Palestinians from the area have been holding weekly demonstrations to demand the occupation authorities re-open the main road into the village which was closed to local Palestinian traffic in 2003, for the benefit of illegal Israeli settlers.
Israel soldiers fired, on Friday, rubber-coated steel rounds and tear gas canisters at Palestinian youths who gathered at the entrance of Beita town, southeast of Nablus, in the northern West Bank.
The attack came during a peaceful demonstration against Israel’s continued occupation and colonization of the West Bank, causing dozens of non-violent protestors to suffer the effects of tear gas.
Occupation forces opened fire, on Friday, at Palestinian protestors in Beit Dajan village, east of Nablus in the northern occupied West Bank, shooting three with rubber-coated steel bullets and causing dozens more to suffer inhalation injuries after exposure to tear gas.
Salim Abu Jaish, with the Village Land Defense Committee told WAFA that villagers gathered in the Al-Thaqara area, to the east of Beit Dajan, lands which are threatened with expropriation for the benefit of the illegal Israeli settlements.
Abu Jaish added that after the Friday prayer, protestors held a march which came under fire by occupation soldiers with rubber-coated steel rounds and tear gas canisters, striking 3 people with steel rounds and causing dozens more, including 2 journalists to suffer the toxic effects of tear gas inhalation.
All injuries were treated at the scene by local medics.
In the southern West Bank occupation soldiers fired tear gas at Palestinian youths who confronted the army the Bab al-Zawiya are in the center of Hebron, causing dozens to suffocate.
WAFA correspondent stated that soldiers positioned at military roadblock (checkpoint) at the entrance to Al-Shuhada Street, fired tear gas at the Palestinian civilians, causing dozens of inhalation injuries.
In related news, occupation police attacked Muslim worshipers at the Al-Aqsa Mosque in the Old City of occupied Jerusalem, causing at least 153 injuries and detaining at least 400 Palestinians.
