Israeli forces shot, on Monday, several Palestinian civilians in different parts of the occupied West Bank, two of whom were deemed critical, according to local sources.
Occupation soldiers stormed al-Yamoun town, west of Jenin, in the northern West Bank, invaded and ransacked civilian homes, leading to protests by dozens of Palestinian youths.
The army opened fire with live rounds and tear gas, causing critical injuries to two young men, one with live rounds to the head and neck, and the other to the back, in addition to causing a number of inhalation injuries.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health confirmed that the seriously wounded young men were rushed to Ibn Sina Hospital in Jenin for medical intervention.
In related news, occupation forces shot and injured, on Monday, a Palestinian young man with a live round in the leg near the Apartheid wall, in Tora village, south of Jenin.
The wounded young man, from Al-Silah Al-Harithiya town, northwest of Jenin, was transferred to Ibn Sina Hospital in Jenin for medical intervention.
Furthermore, the occupation army shot and injured three additional young men with live rounds as a result of confrontations with the army in Kafr Ein village, and Qarawat Bani Zaid village, both northwest of Ramallah city, in the central West Bank.
Soldiers shot two young men with live ammunition in the thigh in Kafr Ein village, and another young man was shot with a live round in the thigh in Qarawat Bani Zaid village.
On Sunday evening, the army repressed demonstrations held in Bethlehem and Hebron in the southern occupied West Bank, to commemorate Prisoners’ Day.
Dozens of Palestinians gathered at the Bethlehem-Hebron Street in Bethlehem, firing live rounds and tear gas canisters at the non-violent protestors, shooting one young man with a live round to the foot, while dozens more suffered the toxic effects of tear gas inhalation.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) confirmed that the young man who was shot suffered a moderate gunshot wound to the foot, he was transferred to hospital for treatment.
Palestinians also gathered in the Bab Az-Zawiya area in Hebron city in solidarity with Palestinian prisoners in occupation prisons, shooting one civilian with live ammunition, and causing dozens more to suffer inhalation injuries.
Finally, Israeli forces shot and wounded, on Sunday night, another young man in Al-Tur town in occupied East Jerusalem during confrontations by the Palestinian youths, against the attacking army.
