Israeli forces detained a number of Palestinian civilians on Wednesday night and Thursday, including a child, in addition to assaulting one young man, according to local sources.
A number of soldiers assaulted a Palestinian truck driver as he was passing through Hizma Street, northeast of occupied Jerusalem, according to the Palestinian News & Information Agency (WAFA).
Soldiers set up a flying checkpoint at the Uraiba roundabout, forced the man out of his truck, struck him with their rifle butts, causing the man a head injury, and fired live rounds into the air.
The identity and condition of the young man was unknown at the time of this report.
Israeli forces detained a young man, identified as Dujana Attoun, near Bab al-Majlis (Council Gate), one of the gates leading to the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound in the Old City of occupied Jerusalem, taking him to an unknown location.
According to the Jenin director of the Palestinian Prisoners’ Society (PPS), Montaser Sammour, occupation soldiers detained, on Thursday, Ahmed Iyad Qabha, 20, from the entrance to the town of Barta’a, southwest of Jenin in the northern West Bank.
Soldiers invaded Beitunia town, west of Ramallah in the central West Bank, and fired concussion grenades and tear gas canisters at the youths who protested the invasion. No injuries or arrests were reported.
Meanwhile, occupation forces stormed Al-‘Isawiya village, northeast of occupied Jerusalem and fired tear gas and concussion grenades at Palestinian youths who resisted the invasion. No injuries or arrests were reported.
In the southern West Bank, soldiers detained four Palestinians including a child, and caused dozens to suffer the effects of tear gas inhalation in Hebron.
Soldiers detained the child Yazan Eid Abu Armailah, 13, from an elementary school in the southern area of Hebron, in addition to Muhammad Ashraf Al-Amour, Alaa Abu Azizah, and Firas Kayed Saeed Dana.
Soldiers fired tear gas and concussion grenades at the Palestinian at the students, causing dozens to suffer inhalation injuries.
In the northern West Bank, the army detained Yazan Mahmoud Hanani, after storming his home in Beit Furik village, southeast of Nablus.
In Silwad town, northeast of Ramallah in the central West Bank, the army stormed the homes of Muhammad Saleh Atsha and and Malik Raed al-Najjar, before detaining them and taking them to an unknown location.
On Wednesday, undercover Israeli agents (Musta’ribeen) abducted a Palestinian young man whose identity was not known at the time of this report, at Bab Al-Amoud (Damasacus Gate) one of the main gates leading to the Old City of occupied Jerusalem.
Furthermore, Israeli soldiers detained a Palestinian young woman, identified as Nadine Al-Sa`u, 28, from the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in occupied Jerusalem, and took her to the Muskobiya detention center in Jerusalem.
According to the young woman’s mother, soldiers assaulted and pepper sprayed, the young woman, her mother, and Palestinian activist Muhammad Abu al-Hummus.
