Israeli forces invaded, at dawn Monday, Jenin city and the Jenin refugee camp, in the northern occupied West Bank, shooting four Palestinian youths, killing one and moderately injuring the other three, according to Quds Press.
The armed wing of the Islamic Jihad Movement in Jenin known as the “Jenin Brigade” told Quds Press that some of its members “managed to target the occupation’s vehicles, on Haifa Street in the Jenin refugee camp, with heavy showers of bullets.”
The army opened live fire at the youths who protested the invasion, shooting four young men, one of whom died after being shot in the head with live ammunition.
The slain young man, identified as Ahmed Masad, 21, from Burqin town, west of Jenin, was shot in the head with a live round, while three others were moderately wounded with live bullets, according to Jani Abu Jokha, the director of Ibn Sina Hospital in Jenin.
Abu Jokha added that a 16-year-old child was shot in the foot, a 19-year-old was shot in the pelvis and another 19-year-old was shot in the hand and the foot.
Crowds of mourners carried the body of the slain young man on their shoulders, from the “Martyr Khalil Suleiman” hospital in Jenin to his final resting place in the cemetery in his hometown of Burqin.
Israeli undercover agents (Musta’ribeen), killed Ahmed Ibrahim Oweidat, 20, in the Aqabat Jaber refugee camp, southwest of Jericho in the northeastern West Bank, after shooting him in the head with live ammunition, in another example of excessive use of force by the Israeli occupation forces.
