Israeli Army Detains 10 Palestinians, Shoots 4 in the Occupied West Bank


Israeli forces, on Monday, detained ten Palestinian civilians and shot three with live rounds, and one with a rubber-coated steel round, in various parts of the occupied West Bank, local sources have reported.

The occupation army stormed Qabatiya town, south of Jenin in the northern West Bank, deployed snipers on rooftops of local homes, and fired rubber-coated steel rounds, tear gas canisters and concussion grenades at Palestinians who protested the incursion.

Several Palestinians suffered the toxic effects of tear gas inhalation and were treated at the scene by local medics.

Meanwhile, a video from social media shows Palestinian resistance fighters firing at the invading Israeli army.

Also in the northern West Bank, soldiers stormed Kafr al-Labad town, east of Tulkarem, triggering protests from Palestinian youths.

The army opened fire with tear gas canisters and rubber-coated steel rounds, shooting a doctor in the neck with a steel round, while several others suffocated on tear gas.

Occupation forces detained a Palestinian child, identified as Baraa Saed Mardawi, near the iron gate in Hableh village, south of Qalqilia, in the northern West Bank.

Israeli soldiers detained, on Monday, four Palestinian civilians after invading and searching their homes in the Ramallah and Al-Biereh governorate in the central occupied West Bank.

The detainees were identified as Thaer Taha Atta, 45, from Ramallah, Ahmed Mahmoud Ali Amer, from Al-Jalazoun refugee camp, north of Ramallah, and Basil Munir Abu Alia, 33, from Al-Mughayyir town to the northeast, in addition to Nadim Talib Khalil Nafeh from the town of Ni’lin, to the west.

Palestinian youths protested the military incursion of Ni’lin, west of Ramallah, which led to soldiers shooting three young men with live rounds in their limbs.

All three wounded men were transferred to hospital and their conditions were described as stable.

Furthermore, occupation forces detained two former prisoners, identified as Awad Kanaan and Abdullah Al-Khatib, from Hizma town, northeast of occupied Jerusalem, sparking protests by local youths.

In occupied Jerusalem, Israeli police, on Monday, detained the child Khaled Abu Khaled from Bab Al-Amoud (Damascus Gate), on of the main gates leading to the Old City of Jerusalem.

A Palestinian young man, identified as Anas Olayyan, was detained, on Monday, by occupation forces from Bab Al-Hatta (Forgiveness Gate), one of the gates leading to the Al-Aqsa Mosque in the Old City of Jerusalem.

On Sunday night, Israeli forces invaded Beit Ummar town, northwest of Hebron in the southern part of the West Bank and detained a former prisoner, identified as Murshid Muhammad Zaqeq, 47, after storming and searching his home.

Palestinian youths resisted the incursion by throwing rocks at the military vehicles, which the army responded to by firing tear gas canisters and concussion grenades.
