An Israeli settler shot dead, on Sunday evening, a Palestinian teen after he allegedly managed to enter the illegal Tekoa settlement, southeast of Bethlehem in the southern part of the occupied West Bank, according to local sources.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health identified the slain child as Mutassim Muhammad Talib Atallah, 17, a resident of Harmala village, southeast of Bethlehem.
The Israeli media claimed the teen scaled the barbed-wire fence and entered the colony, armed with a knife, however no settlers were injured.
The Israeli colonist responsible for killing the child was dubbed a ‘hero’ while the teenager was repeatedly called a ‘terrorist’ despite the fact that he never harmed anyone.
Yair Maimon, the illegal colonist responsible for the murder of the Palestinian child, stated that he shot the teen with an M-16 assault rifle at point blank range.
Article 49 of the Fourth Geneva Convention states;
