Israeli Soldiers Shoot, Kill 16-Year-Old Palestinian, Injure Another in Al-Biereh

Israeli forces shot and killed, on Wednesday, a Palestinian teen and injured another in the eastern part of the city of Al-Biereh, northeast of Ramallah in the central part of the occupied West Bank, according to local sources.

The slain teenager, identified as Thaer Khalil Musalt Al-Yazuri, 16, was shot directly in the heart with a live round by occupation forces, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health.

Several army vehicles invaded the Jabal al-Tawil area in the city of Al-Biereh, triggering confrontations with local Palestinian youths who protested the incursion.

Occupation soldiers opened fire with live ammunition, tear gas canisters, and rubber-coated steel bullets, killing Al-Yazuri, and injuring an 17-year-old with a live round in the leg.


Earlier Wednesday, occupation forces shot and killed a Palestinian correspondent with Al-Jazeera, when she and other journalists were covering the army incursion into Al-Jabriyat neighborhood of Jenin, in the northern West Bank.

Additionally, Ali Al-Samoudi, a producer working with Al-Jazeera was shot with live ammunition in the back, by the the invading Israeli army.

The slain veteran journalist, identified as Sherine Abu Aqleh, was born in occupied Jerusalem, she was pronounced dead after an occupation soldier shot her in the head with a live round, despite being clearly recognizable as a member of the press.
