Israeli occupation forces shot and killed, early Saturday morning, a Palestinian teen, and critically injured another in the northern West Bank city of Jenin, according to the local sources.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health confirmed the death of Amjad Fayed, 17, and the critical injury of an 18-year-old whose identity has not been revealed, during a military incursion into Jenin city and its refugee camp.

Israeli soldiers invaded Haifa Street in the city, and opened live fire at Palestinian youths who protested the incursion, shooting the two teens with live rounds, killing Fayed.

The seriously injured young man was shot in the abdomen with a live round, he was transferred to a nearby hospital, in critical condition.

Walid Al-Fayed, the father of the slain teen told WAFA that soldiers shot the youth in the leg with live rounds, and then shot him in several other locations throughout his body, however this has not been confirmed by the Ministry of Health.

The funeral procession for the teen began at the Martyr Khalil Suleiman Governmental Hospital in Jenin, where a substantial crowd carried the body of the slain teen on their shoulders and marched the streets of Jenin, while denouncing the murder of the child and the continued violations of the occupation army.

Locals carried the body to the family home, in the Jenin refugee camp for a final goodbye, then the mourners marched to the cemetery of the martyrs where the slain teen was laid to rest.

The occupation has recently carried out a series of attacks on the northern West Bank city of Jenin and its refugee camp, killing a number of young men, in response, resistance fighters have confronted the army incursions by exchanging fire.
