Israeli Army Detains 14 Palestinians, Injure Dozens in the West Bank, Settlers Assault Minors


Israeli occupation forces detained, on Sunday, several Palestinian civilians from various parts of the West Bank, and injured many more during confrontations with Palestinian youths who protested the incursions, local sources reported.

Israeli soldiers chased and fired tear gas, on Sunday, at Palestinian workers who attempted to reach their workplaces inside of Israel, while they were near the Apartheid wall, in the northern part of the occupied West Bank.

It was reported that a number of workers suffered the toxic effects of tear gas inhalation near the villages of Anin, Rummana and Zububa, west of Jenin city.

Meanwhile, on Sunday, the army detained a former prisoner, identified as Ahmed Nader Kamil, on the King Hussein Bridge traveling to Jordan, according to Montaser Sammour, the director of the Jenin chapter of the Palestinian Prisoners’ Society. Kamil is a resident of Qabatiya town, south of Jenin in the northern West Bank.

Illegal Israeli colonists assaulted, on Sunday, two Palestinian minors and attempted to abduct one of them in Qusra village, south of Nablus in the northern West Bank.

According to security sources, a group of illegal settlers attacked two youths, injuring one of them in the head, he was transferred to a nearby hospital in Nablus for medical intervention.

After the attack, Israeli forces invaded the area, triggering local youths to protest, which soldiers responded to by firing rubber-coated steel rounds and tear gas canisters at them, causing several injuries.

It was reported that 18 Palestinian youths were shot with rubber-coated steel rounds, 4 suffered burns, while dozens more suffered the toxic effects of tear gas inhalation.

Also in Nablus, soldiers stormed the Ein Beit al-Maa refugee camp, west of Nablus city in the northern West Bank, and invaded the home of Muhammad Shaheen, before detaining him.

In the central West Bank, occupation forces detained 5 Palestinian civilians, and injured several more near Ramallah city.

Sources stated that 4 Palestinians were detained by the army from Silwad town, northeast of Ramallah, they were identified as, Awad Jum`a Hammad, 45, Mahmoud Maher Hammad, 19, Muhammad Ezzat Hammad, 28, and Obada Husam Hammad, 29.

Furthermore, soldiers detained Muhammad Abdel Qader Nofal from Ras Karkar village, located northwest of Ramallah.

Meanwhile, the occupation army carried out a military invasion of Jifna village, north of Ramallah, causing local Palestinian youths to protest the incursion. the army opened fire with rubber-coated steel rounds and tear gas canisters.

Soldiers shot 7 Palestinian civilians with rubber-coated steel rounds and caused many others to sustain inhalation injuries due to tear gas.

In the Jerusalem governorate, soldiers detained 4 Palestinian minors from Al-Wad Street in the Old City of occupied Jerusalem, three of whom were identified as Moataz Morcos, Uday Al-Natsheh, and Muhammad Tarhouni.

The four children transferred to a detention center in the city.

The Israeli Intelligence service summoned a Palestinian youth, identified as Amir Abu Ramoz, from Silwan town in occupied Jerusalem, for interrogation at the Al-Muskobiyya detention center, and detained him.

In the southern West Bank, occupation forces detained stormed the homes of two Palestinian young men, identified as Muhammad Ibrahim Taqatqa, 22, and Yazan Mahmoud Taqatqa, 23, from Beit Fajjar town, south of Bethlehem, before detaining them.

In Al-Khader village, west of Bethlehem, soldiers opened live fire at Palestinian youths who resisted the army incursion.

It was reported that soldiers shot and injured one young man with a live round. The identity and condition of the young man was not known at the time of this report.

Occupation forces shot and injured one Palestinian student with a rubber-coated steel round and caused dozens more to suffer the effects of tear gas inhalation, in the southern West Bank city of Hebron.

One Palestinian student was shot and injured in the Al-Sahla neighborhood of the Old City, and transferred to hospital for medical intervention.

During confrontations between the army and local youths, west of the Ibrahimi Mosque, dozens of students sustained inhalation injuries near the Abu al-Rish military checkpoint when soldiers fired tear gas canisters at them.
