Occupation Forces Detain 15, Injure Dozens Across the West Bank

Israeli forces detained, on Sunday night and Monday, 15 Palestinian young men and injured dozens more in various parts of the occupied West Bank, according to local sources.

On Monday, occupation soldiers opened fire towards Palestinian young men who protested a military invasion of Kharsa village, southwest of Hebron in the southern West Bank, shooting Abdullah Ahmed Abu Sebaa, 21, in the foot before detaining him.

In the central West Bank city of Al-Biereh, soldiers shot, on Monday, another young man in the leg with live rounds after occupation forces opened fire at youths who resisted the army incursion into the city.

The injured young man, whose identity and condition were not known at the time of this report, was transferred to a Ramallah hospital for medical intervention, according to the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS).

Israeli forces assaulted, on Monday, Ammar Awni Mufleh in Huwara town, south of Nablus in the northern West Bank before detaining him.

Two more Palestinian young men were detained by occupation soldiers, Monday, while they were driving near Jit village on the Nablus-Qalqilia road, west of Nablus.

The army stopped the vehicle, searched it and detained Zayed Mahmoud Sabbagh, a resident of Jenin, in addition to Mahdi Abdel Nasser Zuhair, who is a resident of Arrabeh town, southwest of Jenin.

On Monday night, a large army force stormed Tuqu’ town, east of Bethlehem in the southern occupied West Bank, triggering protests from Palestinian youths.

Soldiers opened fire with rubber-coated steel rounds, concussion grenades, and tear gas canisters, causing dozens of youths to suffer the toxic effects of tear gas inhalation.

In occupied Jerusalem, Israeli forces detained 9 Palestinian young men from the Bab Al-Amoud (Damscus Gate), one of the main gates leading to the Old City.

Meanwhile, the army invaded the al-‘Isawiya neighborhood in East Jerusalem, along with canines, stormed a Palestinian-owned shop, and fired tear gas canisters at civilian homes, triggering confrontations with local youths.

No injuries were reported during the military incursion.

Furthermore, Israeli troops invaded, on Sunday night, the village of al-Lubban al-Sharqiya, south of Nablus in the northern occupied West Bank, and detained one Palestinian young man.

Soldiers stormed the village and stopped Jihad Ayman Owais, 22, while he was driving his vehicle, before searching the vehicle and detaining him.

Local youths protested the invasion, which soldiers responded to by opening fire with live rounds and tear gas canisters, no injuries were reported.

In Tubas city, in the northeastern part of the West Bank, undercover Israeli agents, Sunday night, abducted Fadi Daraghmeh from in front of his home, according to Kamal Bani Odeh, from the Tubas chapter of the Palestinian Prisoners’ Society (PPS).

During a demonstration denouncing the provocative “Flag March” held by illegal Israeli settlers, on Sunday, soldiers opened fire with tear gas canisters and concussion grenades at Palestinian civilians near the Al-Jalama military roadblock northeast of Jenin in the northern West Bank.

Local youths confronted the Israeli army, which led to one man being shot in the leg with a concussion grenade, in addition to dozens more suffering from inhalation injuries after exposure to tear gas.
