Israeli Forces Detain 46 Palestinians from the West Bank and the Gaza Strip

In an extensive detention campaign, Israeli occupation forces detained, on Monday, more than forty Palestinian civilians across the West Bank and Gaza, the majority of whom were from Hebron, local sources reported.

On Monday at dawn, occupation soldiers stormed Jayyous town, east of Qalqilia, in the northern occupied West Bank, Jayyous town, east of Qalqilia, and invaded a number of homes.

Soldiers detained three young men, identified as Sameh Shawkat Samha, 45, Alaa Fahim Shamasneh, 31, and Laith Abdel Qader Salim, 28, from their homes.

In the city of Jenin, in the northern part of the West Bank, soldiers detained Hassoun Abu Salama, and Hussein Muhammad Hussein Issa from Sanur village, southwest of the city.

In the northern occupied West Bank, Israeli soldiers invaded a number of neighborhoods in the Nablus governorate, shooting one young man and detaining two.

During exchange of fire between and armed Palestinian resistance fighters and the army in the Khallet al-Amoud area, soldiers shot one young man with a live round in the thigh before he was transferred to hospital. The condition of the injured young man was unknown at the time of this report.

Soldiers detained Muhammad al-Banna from the Khallet al-Amoud area, in the eastern part of Nablus, Bassem al-Agbar from the city center, and from the town of Beit Furik southeast of the city, soldiers detained Mamoun Yousef Hanani.

In the central occupied West Bank, soldiers detained, on Monday, Thaer Wajdi Safi, 17 from the Al-Jalazoun refugee camp, north of Ramallah.

Soldiers detained Muhammad al-Hindi from the Shu’fat refugee camp, northeast of occupied Jerusalem, and transferred him to an interrogation center.

In occupied Jerusalem, Israeli forces detained, on Monday, a member of the Fatah movement, identified as Raed Hijazi after they invaded and searched his home.

Israeli forces invaded and searched the home of Adnan Ghaith, the governor of Jerusalem, from Silwan town in occupied Jerusalem, before detaining him.

It is important to note that Governor Ghaith has been detained by the occupation dozens of times since entering office in 2018.

On Monday evening, soldiers invaded the village of Kisan, east of Bethlehem in the southern occupied West Bank, assaulting and detaining a number of them.

According to Nabil Abayat, a member of the Kisan Village Council stated that soldiers stormed the village, invaded and searched homes, assaulted some of the residents and detained an unknown number of them.

Meanwhile, at dawn on Monday, soldiers detained two Palestinian civilians from the Dheisheh refugee camp, southwest of Bethlehem.

The army stormed and searched the homes of Nidal Naim Abu Akar, 55, and Basil Daamsa, 26, before detaining them.

In the Hebron governorate, soldier detained a significant number of Palestinian civilians including a teen identified as Nour Haitham Dana, 17, after assaulting him while he was at a military checkpoint in the city.

From Sa’ir town, northeast of Hebron, soldiers detained Raafat Youssef Al-Shalaldah, Muhammad Ibrahim Al-Shalaldeh, Jihad Musa Al-Shalaldeh, and Islam Younis Kawazbeh.

From Yatta town, south of Hebron, the army detained Atef Ali Raba’, Talib Mahmoud Muslim Al-Najjar, Issa Saleh Al-Amour, Muhammad Badr Al-Amour, and Khalil Rabi’.

Southwest of Hebron, in Dura town, soldiers detained Mahmoud Ismail Abu Arqoub, Imad Jadallah, Awlad Muhammad, Youssef Ahmad Nassar, Khader Dhoib Al-Hroub, and Munther Youssef Al-Sharawneh.

Local youths confronted the military invasion by throwing rocks at the armored vehicles.

Furthermore, the army stormed Beit Awa town, west of Hebron and detained Ibrahim Muhammad Ibrahim Al-Suwaiti, Mahmoud Yasser Mahmoud Masalmah, and Mahmoud Issa Masalma.

In as-Samu’ town, south of the city, soldiers detained Jamal Musa Abu Al-Jadayel, and Ismail Al-Nattah from Idna town, west of the city.

From Surif town, west of Hebron, soldiers detained Marwan Abu Fara, Khaled Ghunaimat, Majdi Abu Fara, and Khaled Taysir Ghunaimat.

Soldiers detained Rizk Mahmoud Assi Halayka, Ahmed Abd Rabbo Halayka, and Ahmed Shehadeh Ayada from al-Shuyukh town, northeast of the city.

Meanwhile, soldiers detained Ahmed Khader Abdel Qader Abu Maria, 57, Bader Ahmed Badr Abu Ayyash, 55, Muhammad Yousef Awad, 25, and Abdullah Issa Hassan Abu Hashem, 26, from Beit Ummar town, north of Hebron.

It was reported that the invasion triggered protests among the local youths, which soldiers responded to by firing tear gas canisters at the young men, causing dozens to suffer the toxic effects of tear gas inhalation.

Finally, Israeli forces detained Mohammed Abdel Salam Awad while he was trying to pass through the Erez/Beit Hanoun crossing, in the northern part of the besieged Gaza Strip.
