Israeli Forces Shoot and Kill 2 Palestinian Young Men in Al-Biereh and Nablus

Israeli forces shot and killed, on Thursday, two Palestinian young men in two separate incidents in the Nablus and Al-Biereh governorates, according to local sources.

In the northern West Bank, Israeli soldiers and special forces invaded the Balata refugee camp, east of Nablus city, which triggered protests from local Palestinian youths.

Soldiers detained one young man, identified as Jasser Abu Hamada, from the camp and shot Samer Mahmoud Suleiman Khaled, 25, with a live round in the neck.

The seriously injured young man, a resident of the Al-Ain refugee camp, also known as Camp Number 1, west of Nablus, was transferred to Rafidia Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, despite resuscitation efforts.

Sources stated that armed resistance fighters exchanged fire with the invading army and special forces. No further injuries were reported.

In the central part of the West Bank, occupation forces stormed the city of Al-Biereh, sparking protests among local Palestinian youths.

Yazan Afana, 26

Soldiers opened live fire, shooting and seriously injuring a young man, identified as Yazan Afana, 26, from the Qalandia refugee camp, north of occupied East Jerusalem.

Afana was shot in the chest with live ammunition and rushed to the Ramallah Hospital, where attempts to save his life were unsuccessful. Doctors pronounced the man dead shortly thereafter.
